These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of vehicles from Legendary Car Rental (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By renting a vehicle from us, the Hirer agrees to abide by these terms.

1. Definitions

  • “Vehicle” refers to any car or accessory rented from Legendary Car Rental.
  • “Office” refers to Legendary Car Rental LLC.
  • “Hirer” refers to the individual or entity renting the vehicle.

2. Eligibility & Authorized Drivers

  • The Hirer must provide valid documents as required by the office and UAE authorities.
  • Only authorized drivers approved by the office may operate the vehicle.
  • Authorized drivers must be present at the office for approval or have been approved by an employee at Legendary Car Rental LLC.
  • The Hirer must have a valid UAE or international driver’s license with a minimum of one year from the date of issuance.

3. Vehicle Condition & Maintenance

  • The vehicle is provided in good condition as per the check-out list signed by the Hirer.
  • The Hirer is responsible for maintaining oil, water, and other necessary fluids in the vehicle.
  • The Hirer must return the vehicle for periodic servicing as per the check-out list. Failure to do so will result in liability for any mechanical damages and loss of hire costs.
  • The Hirer agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition as received with the same fuel level or pay the difference.

4. Prohibited Activities

The Hirer shall not:

  • Allow unauthorized drivers to operate the vehicle.
  • Sublet or lease the vehicle.
  • Use the vehicle for towing, racing, off-road driving, or illegal activities.
  • Smoke inside the vehicle (AED 1,000 penalty applies for non-compliance).
  • Make any repairs or modifications without written approval from the office.

5. Damages & Liabilities

  • The Hirer is responsible for any damage to tires, rims, or other parts that are not covered by insurance.
  • In the case of an accident caused by the Hirer under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they will bear full responsibility for all damages and legal consequences.
  • If the vehicle is deemed a total loss, the Hirer must pay an additional 20% of the insured value.
  • The vehicle is insured for use only within the UAE.
  • Maximum mileage per day is 250 km; excess mileage will be charged AED 20 per km.
  • The Hirer must park the vehicle in a safe and secure place; damages due to natural disasters or vandalism are the Hirer’s full responsibility.

6. Traffic Violations & Penalties

  • The Hirer is responsible for all traffic fines incurred during the rental period.
  • If the fine exceeds AED 500, a 10% service fee will be added to the penalty amount.
  • If the fine is below AED 500, a AED 50 service charge applies.
  • Salik toll charges will be AED 6 per gate pass.

7. Extra Protection Plan

  • The Hirer may opt for extra protection to minimize insurance liability to AED 3,000 – AED 7,500, depending on the car model and Hirer’s age.
  • Extra protection fees range from AED 150 – AED 750.
  • This plan reduces the damage liability by 10% from the agency repair bill.

8. Vehicle Repossession

Legendary Car Rental reserves the right to repossess the vehicle without prior notice if the Hirer:

  • Breaches these terms.
  • Engages in reckless driving or intentionally violates UAE speed limits.
  • Fails to make payments as agreed.

9. VAT & Payment Terms

  • All rental prices are subject to 5% VAT.
  • Payments must be made in full before vehicle handover unless otherwise agreed.

10. Loss of Property

  • The office is not responsible for any valuables or cash lost in the vehicle during or after the rental period.
